Roanoke Area Ministries

Roanoke Area Ministries is an ecumenical, urban ministry that serves the Roanoke Valley by providing safe shelter for the homeless, a nutritious lunch, and emergency financial aid to those in need.

Our doors are open 365 days a year from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

We invite you to step inside, see what we do each day, and discover how you can help.

Roanoke Area Ministries is an ecumenical organization that boldly serves as an advocate for the homeless and poverty stricken helping people in need through a variety of programs including emergency financial assistance, a hot noon-time meal each day and a day shelter for the homeless.  Our aim is to empower people to move from dependency to self-sufficiency; in doing so we build a stronger, healthier community.
