Financial Aid Services Update

Due to ongoing construction issues at our new location (410 Elm Ave. SW), we are unable to access the building and do not yet know when it will reopen.

For everyone's safety, no clients will be seen on-site while construction is underway.

ATTENTION:
•RAM assists NW & SW Roanoke City residents with 1 service in a 12 month period. SE, NE, VINTON, SALEM & ROANOKE COUNTY residents are assisted with a referral - information listed below.

 UTILITY ASSISTANCE 

(gas, water, lights, or oil)

• Total amount due for disconnection / restoration must be for $200 or less. 

RENTAL ASSISTANCE:
(back rent, security deposit or first month's rent) 

• Total amount due for pay or quit notice / intent to rent is for $300 or less            

NO HOTELS, MOTELS OR ROOMING HOUSES.

If they are unable to assist or there is a balance the service location will provide a referral for assistance here. Then you must follow the procedure and fill out  (a submission below)and submit the required documents.

Financial assistance is available for clients in emergency situations  We have case managers who will meet with clients and determine funding on a case-by-case basis.

To SPEED the process for you: Before coming in please DOWNLOAD, PRINT, READ, FILL OUT and BRING all 3 documents before arriving for a visit to the Financial Aid office.
